The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer fall 9-2 to STiKS Academy despite Tommy Detmer's effort

Despite Tommy Detmer's 2-3 performance at the plate on Saturday, the Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer took a 9-2 loss at the hands of STiKS Academy at Parkway West High School.

#2 got the win for STiKS Academy. He allowed one run over five innings. #2 struck out three, walked three and gave up three hits.

STiKS Academy was sparked by #14 and #8, who teamed up for four hits and five RBIs.

Simon Desnoyer was charged with the loss. He allowed six runs in 4 1/3 innings, walked three and struck out two.

It didn't take long for the Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer to answer as they scored one run of their own in the second. The Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer scored on an RBI single by Kyle Redman.

STiKS Academy stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the fifth, scoring five runs on a sacrifice fly by #24 and a three-run triple by #8.

STiKS Academy increased its lead with three runs in the sixth. A clutch ground out scored #17 to open the scoring in the frame.

A one-run sixth inning helped bring the Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer within seven. A groundout by Michael Ruggeri set off the Easton Tigers 15U: Desnoyer rally. Finally, #20 induced an inning-ending fly out from Jacob Schneider.
